8. Learning

This photography work goes beyond capturing images—it represents a journey of observation, patience, and growth. One of the most important lessons learned is the value of slowing down. In a world that moves quickly, photography teaches us to pause, to look closer, and to truly see the details that are often overlooked.

Another key takeaway is the importance of perspective. The same subject can tell completely different stories depending on the angle, the light, and the moment. This has reinforced the idea that beauty is not fixed—it is shaped by how we choose to see it.

This project also highlights the role of patience and timing. Nature does not rush, and neither should we when trying to capture it. Waiting for the right light, the right focus, or the perfect composition becomes part of the creative process, not a limitation.

Additionally, working with these photographs has strengthened technical awareness. Understanding lighting conditions, depth of field, and composition has been essential to improving the final result. Each photo represents not only a visual outcome but also a step forward in learning and refinement.

Finally, this work serves as a reminder that creativity can be found in simplicity. Extraordinary results do not always require extraordinary subjects—sometimes, all it takes is attention, intention, and a willingness to explore the beauty in everyday surroundings.

7. Final Result

Here are the photos that need to be checked to complete the final contribution of this wordpress project, after all the mistakes I have made during this work it is very pleasant to finally commit the last pack of photos and being able to look back to all the progress and knowledge I have acquired.

This represents one of the biggest challenges that I have ever had in my career, trying to understand a new tool and all the opportunities it provides is priceless, this would be a very nice memory to come back and keep learning lots of information about this platform

I have never thought of taking pictures about the nature of my country, but I have to admit it was a very nice decision because it has helped me to discover while watching the photos the beauty itself, all the little details it has, the perfection of the flowers and its leaves, it is way to beautiful.

6. Nature Photos

Here are some of my photos that have been approved by the wordpress community.

A Glimpse of Nature’s Quiet Beauty

Through each image, nature reveals itself in its purest and most captivating form. From the delicate curves of orchid petals to the vibrant textures of tropical foliage, every photograph captures a moment that often goes unnoticed in everyday life. There is a silent elegance in the way colors blend—soft pinks, deep greens, and warm yellows—creating a visual harmony that feels both calming and alive.

These images are more than just photographs; they are fragments of living art. The intricate details of leaves, the subtle imperfections, and the interplay of light and shadow remind us that beauty does not need to be perfect to be extraordinary. Even the smallest elements—a single flower, a textured leaf, or a quiet corner of a garden—hold a story worth appreciating.

What makes these scenes truly special is their authenticity. They are not staged or artificial; they are real moments captured as they exist, reflecting the richness of the natural world. In a fast-paced environment, these visuals invite us to slow down, observe, and reconnect with the simple yet profound beauty that surrounds us.

Ultimately, this collection is a reminder that nature is always offering something meaningful—if we take the time to look closely enough.

5. Challenge

As I was understanding a little bit more this WordPress world, everything was clarifying and getting easier to do, but there was a moment where I didn’t know what to do, and it was very frustrating, the time was passing by, everything was getting closer to the final date and I had anything yet.

So I started to read about wordpress and how i works, I got some lessons from my teacher who made herself clear while presenting all the information about it and I could join the Photos Slack Team to get more help from the others around the world and how to get started.

So as the time was coming by my progress was getting better and better so I keep doing it while learning more about wordpress.

4. Second Action and Progress

To keep showing off the work being done in this project, I can show you all some of the pictures I took.

This photo that you see below is a “Chicasquil” tree, it has a difference among other trees because we can use its leaves to cook a really delicious food called “Picadillo” where you smash some of the “Chiscasquil’s” leaves and mix it with meat and can eat it with a tortilla.

And the other photo that I took was about my avocado’s tree where you can see the green leaves as well with the branches going all directions, now the avocado’s season is starting so we could appreciate the little flowers showing off.

3. First Concrete Action

My first concrete action was to start taking photos of all the flowers and trees that I have at my place, so I could show the rest of the community the amount of nature that we have everywhere, we don’t have to go any further to watch and admire the nature at its purity.

As you can see these are all the photos I took before editing them

Here is the email that confirms that one photo of mine has been approved by the wordpress community.

2. Setting It Up

After I created my wordpress.org account and completed all the courses that were requested, my next step was to join the Slack Community, so I sign up with my wordpress profile and joined the wpcredits channel so I could start learning from the others users that have a lot more of experience than I do.

After joined the wpcredits channel I chose to get into the Photos contribution area, because I wanted to share some of the beauty that Costa Rica has in its nature and animals, with some photos that I took and where you all can see the incredible diversity of flowers and trees that we have here in our country.

After joining Slack I went directly to my wordpress.org account and got into the photos directory so I could see how were the photos that I needed to upload in the platform. Got all the information required and started taking photos.

1. Starting the WordPress Adventure

I chose the Photos contribution area because I wanted to show all the WordPress Community the beauty that a small country like Costa Rica can have, all the nature as the flowers and fruit trees that you can see all around the country at any time of the year.
